Balboa Mission Square was originally built starting in Novermber 1969. Sale of the eight-acre property that was originally an orange grove, located on the northeast corner of the major intersection of Balboa Blvd. and San Fernando Mission Blvd. in Granada Hills, California. The sale of the property was managed by William E. Doud and Co. one of the Southland's oldest realty firms. Construction was a joint-venture of Samuelson Brothers and Verntura Pacific Builders. Builders Emporium was the first tenant.
Balboa Mission Square is a community center which currently has 27 tenants and a wide variety of shopping experiences. The center is anchored by Trader Joe's, JPMorgan Chase Bank, Planet Fitness, and Island Pacific Supermarket.
The center is managed by Triad Management Systems, Inc.
